Is Sony Ericsson really that stupid???

Sony Ericsson’s new Swedish CEO Bert Nordberg has in a interviuv, made some strange statements. It seems that he has not understood anything about today’s mobile market.

That he condemns the Iphone is fully in line with what Sony Ericsson had done since Apple started making mobiles.
“Shall some fuckers to newcomers come here and think they can make better phones than us,” was Sony Ericsson’s statement
But the fact is that lots of buyers choose Iphone infront of Sony Ericsson’s mobile phones, the answer to this, according to SonyEricsson is, that they have younger buyers, this is a weird comment, today we see iPhone-users in virtually all ages.

Further says Bert Nordberg that he does not believe in Apple’s business model. Sales figures should tell their distinctive language on this point. Apple has only made money on their mobile phones since they started, 2007th, Sony Ericsson has not earned any money but instead has made large losses and kick people, since 2007.
Looking forward to another apple product, iTunes, which has sold 7 billion songs, well, same thing can be said here. Sales figures should tell their distinctive language on this point.

But Bert Nordgren says one thing that I think many may agree with, iPhone is technically not as good than many other mobiles. But not all agree with this. I do, and im using iPhone, and as I feel now, I will never change to another mobile operative system.

If the rest of the lead in the Sony Ericsson thinks that Bert Nordberg, and believe that customers think it is so important to be able to change the battery when the phone is old, than they will choose Sony Ericsson instead of Apple. But the last years mobile-market has says different. Then Sony Ericsson can probably count on even more losses, and fired more people.

The contents of the browser election and will be updated every six months. Even now you can see how it looks on www.browserchoice.eu.
The update is automatically installed via Windows Update or the user is encouraged to download and install it, depending on what operating system you use. Microsoft said that those who do not have automatic updates enabled browser can get through the election to check for new updates on Windows Update. Companies can make their IT department to take care of the election.

Background:
The commission said that Microsoft, for many years are automatically tied the Internet Explorer browser to Windows. The Commission believes that Microsoft’s dominance is likely to restrict the user’s choice of browser and also hit the company’s competitors and lead to fewer innovative products on the market.
In October 2009 Microsoft promises to implement a number of measures to eliminate the EU Commission believes impede competition. A few months later, those promises are made legally binding for a period of five years.

Google buying Aardvark

Google has now verified that they are buying Aardvark for approximately 50 million U.S. dollars.

Aardvark is an Internet service, you can ask a question about anything and get the matter sent to another member who is an expert in that particular area. And they often get responses within minutes.

Adobe Photoshop, 20year

On 10 February, Photoshop went 20 years.

Photoshop is by far the most widely used image editing program.
I started using Photoshop in 1998 when it was in version 5.0 and a lot has happened since then. Today, the programme is in version CS4 and only takes more and more the market share.
I don’t want to have any comments about Gimp, which in all honesty is good, actually very good and it is free.
Photoshop is expensive, today about $ 500. But Gimp still has a very far step to take before it can be compared with Photoshop.

If you want to read more about Adobe Photoshop tripp from beginning til today, follow this link.

897 million DVDs sending over the mobile network

Cisco predicts that mobile network will increase 39 times over the next 5 years.

Report Visual Networking Index is Cisco’s annual summary of traffic development in different networks.

This shows that the global growth of data traffic in mobile networks has increased with 169% over the past year.
For the moment, its a traffic every month around 90 petabyte data over the mobile networks. It’s around  23 million DVDs, according to a press release from Cisco. This means that it will be a traffic, monthly if Cisco is right, around 897 million DVDs sending over the mobile network.

This trend will put great pressure on telecom companies to develop new technologies that can handle data traffic more effectively than it does today.

Spanish version of the iPad

This is not my article, it copied straight over from Typically Spanish but I thought it was interesting……….

There is a Spanish version of the Apple iPad which has been developed by Córdoba University. The iFreeTablet is a low cost touch screen device which runs open software.

Carlos de Castro, professor at the University Córdoba, told Público that the project had been set up with public financing and was not intended to make a profit. He said it was not an alternative to the iPad, preferring to describe it as ‘a new way to interact with tactile systems which includes more functions. The professor is himself a Mac user, but also a firm believer in free software. His device runs on the SiESTA system which is Debian GNU/Linux based and thousands of users have collaborated on the creation and modification of the open source code.

The Córdoba device is being made by the Graef company in Jaén, and offers a 10.2 inch screen, a 1.3 megapixel camera, WiFi and a 160 GB hard disk. Its weak point is battery life – just 2.5 hours. It will be distributed over the internet at a price of between 300 and 500 € depending on the configuration.

Xbox will take over….

Now is the date set for realese of Microsoft’s new game console code-named “Project Natal”…

Just in time for Christmas shopping 2010, will it be available on the market.

This is a revolutionary new way to play games and have fun with the Xbox 360.
To describe it with few words. “There is no controller!” you can play sports, singing, dancing and fighting -- yes, anything that the world’s leading game developers to find. Your movements and emotional responses are recorded by the Xbox 360 console.
This will most likely steal much of the market from the Wii, and Microsoft can only keep down the price, it is questionable if anyone will continue to buy the Wii in the current format.
Microsoft says there are already 80% of the publishers of games, which develops games for Natal Project.

Technology in Project Natal sensor, combines an RGB camera, a depth sensor, several microphones and a specialized processor that runs a unique software in the same unit.
Existing cameras and hand controls can only register two-dimensional movements, but Project Natal can register helkroppsrörelser in 3D and you can give commands, and pointing in different directions … it can even distinguish different voice modes!

When you stand in front of Project Natal sensor, you can easily give commands by voice. And you need not only use certain words -- it understands everything you say. Project Natal sensor also recognizes your face so you can sign in to Xbox LIVE, without saying or doing anything special at all except that four of a smile.

The technology that we saw in the various sci-fi films in the 90s, which we thought was cool is soon a reality.
