Photoshop Express for Iphone and Ipad

Are you taking lots of photos with your mobile phone?

Photoshop Express 2.0 is then an excellent app, and its free.
The app is only available for IOS machines, not for Android, a think its little weak, given Android’s growth over the past year.

The app has a wide variety of basic editing tools like, cropping, straightening, flipping and rotating. It is also possible to adjust color levels, saturation and brightness. A number of filters and special effects and a lot of frames that can be added around the pictures. Its also possible to share the edit pictures with other IOS devices.

The mobile version of Photoshop will never be a replacement for the desktop version of the software, but for a mobile app, it is incredibly impressive.

Android vs. iOS = ?

Mobile World Congress (MWC) is over for this time.

And it looks like Android will, if not they not already have go past the Apple IOS (In normal order, Apple dident have any monter on MWC)

The strongest coming mobile now is Samsung Galaxy S2 and Sony Ericsson Xperia ARC which are both equipped with the Android 2.3 Vanilla*
These phones toke lot of space in their their monters and have / will soon come on the market.
Another trend was the payment to and / for mobile phones and most new phones come with the new standard NFC (Near Field comunication) This have many other functions, click here to read more about it

“Vanilla Android” is simply an install of Android without any customizations. HTC for example, will put Sense on their phones. Motorola might put Blur on some of theirs. Vanilla is what is straight from Google and has none of those customized interfaces or apps that the carriers put on the phone.  (Thanks to rkarolak for the explanation)

Android 2.4 or not?

There have been many smart phones in the first quarter of 2011 with Android 2.3.
But the operating system will get an update to 2.4. Already in April, Google is expected to finalize the next version, which claimed to have only one major function, namely to provide support for applications that are customized for Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and dual-core processors.

The fact that all the information around the Android 2.4 does not come directly from Google has caused many to distrust the data. The Website DownloadSquad say they believe more that Android 2.4 will instead be 2.3.3 or 2.3.4.

Still, are not all smartphones on the market today received the Android 2.2 or 2.3. Several manufacturers of smartphones are still optimizes 2.2 for their models and some have chosen not to update at all. Sony Ericsson for example, has said that the Xperia series, will not get Android 2.2 it will jump straight to 2.3 or 2.4 with the upcoming Sony Ericsson Arc and Neo.

A problem that already exists today is that consumers do not know which models will be updated and need to chance when purchase. Generally, the more expensive models are maintained better, while the budget variations are more uncertain. The manufacturers can not guarantee future updates, but users are in great hope for the best.

iPhone for 200 dollar

One iPhone for 200 dollars. Without subscription.

Google’s success in the mobile market with Android OS have make Apple, to think again. Now will the company start to investing in the market, for sheep phones.

The figures for the fourth quarter was not much fun reading for those who are at Apple. Android almost triple its share of the global smartphone market and its have now passed Apple by a wide margin. Android have now 32.9 percent against Apple’s 16 percent.

That is one of the reason that got Apple on other thoughts, and are now planning a counterattack. According to informed sources, are Apple now working with a low-cost version of the hit iPhone, writes Bloomberg News.

The new model will be the a third size of the existing iPhone, and work on multiple wireless networks and the price is said to be around $ 200, without requiring a two-year contract as the current models in the U.S., regarding to the source.

A cheaper version of the iPhone would also put further pressure on Nokia with their Symbian-based low-cost mobile that have been a great success on the European market.

Apple is also working on a new technology, a universal SIM card, which will result in the mobile user does not need to commit to a specific operator. It is unclear if the technology is part of the new phones.

A serious security hole has been found in Android

The security company  Scio Security has discovered a serious security hole in Android that makes it possible to download apps in the background, without user knowledge or consent.
To prove the concept, they created an app that claimed to be the new game courses to the popular game Angry Bird. When this app was downloaded, was also an additional three apps installed.

Apps were not harmful, Scio Security would only prove how easy it is to perform and that it is perfectly possible to use the same method to install malicious apps on Android.
Google has acted quickly to the news and remove Scio Security app from the Android Market, stock, and Google released an update to Android that close the current security hole.

The only problem is. with Android is that most operating system updates have to be updated by mobile phone manufacturer. This means that it can sometimes take several months before a bugfix reach end users.
